  5. Try it out.  For the first time, book a short trip first to see if you like cruising.
  6. Take time to choose the right trip. Contact the travel agent to help you chose the ship that’s right for you and your family.
  7. Bring the kids. Ask your travel agent to help you find a kid friendly cruise ship.  Cruising can be ideal for families, plenty of kids and parents activities and experience’s that can be shared over family meals and shows.
  8. Don’t bring the kids.  Equally, if you don’t want to cruise with a lot of kids around, avoid summer vacations, spring breaks and other school-free days. Chose a cruise ship that doesn’t cater to children or that schedules child free cruises during the year.
  9. Exercise. Most of today’s cruise ships have excellent fitness centers and programs.  Convenience might inspire you to start improving your fitness program.
  10. Be cabin savvy. Always chose a less-expensive cabin on a more expensive cruise ship.
